The equivalent resistance between points A and B in the circuit shown is
Answer: (B) $6\ \Omega$
The $3\ \Omega$ and $6\ \Omega$ resistors are in parallel:
$$R_p = \frac{3\times 6}{3+6} = 2\ \Omega$$
This is in series with $4\ \Omega$: $R_{AB} = 4 + 2 = 6\ \Omega$.
