The colour coding on a carbon resistor is shown in the given figure. The resistance value of the given resistor is:
Answer: (A) $(7500 \pm 375)\ \Omega$
Reading the bands from the end away from the tolerance band: violet ($7$), green ($5$), red (multiplier $10^2$), gold ($\pm5\%$).
$$R = 75\times10^2 = 7500\ \Omega,\quad \text{tolerance} = 5\%\times7500 = 375\ \Omega$$
