The voltage and the current between $A$ and $B$ points shown in the circuit are ______.
Answer: (B) $24$ V, $4$ A
$A$ is on the left rail and $B$ on the right rail. Between them there are four source branches, each of emf $27$ V (the third has $14 + 13$) and resistance $3\ \Omega$, and the diagonal branch of $3 + 3 = 6\ \Omega$.
Four identical sources in parallel act as $27$ V with internal resistance $\dfrac{3}{4}\ \Omega$. The current through the $6\ \Omega$ diagonal:
$$I = \frac{27}{6 + 0.75} = 4\ \text{A}, \qquad V_{AB} = 4 \times 6 = 24\ \text{V}$$
