Answer: (A) $2\ \text{V}$
The two $4\ \Omega$ resistors in parallel give $2\ \Omega$.
$$I = \frac{3}{2 + 1} = 1\ \text{A},\qquad V = \varepsilon - Ir = 3 - 1 = 2\ \text{V}$$
