A current of $15\ \text{mA}$ flows in the circuit as shown in figure. The value of potential difference between the points $A$ and $B$ will be
Answer: (D) $275\ \text{V}$
Between $A$ and $B$ the current passes through $5\ \text{k}\Omega$, then $10\parallel5 = \dfrac{10}{3}\ \text{k}\Omega$, then $10\ \text{k}\Omega$:
$$R = 5 + \frac{10}{3} + 10 = \frac{55}{3}\ \text{k}\Omega,\qquad V = 15\ \text{mA}\times\frac{55}{3}\ \text{k}\Omega = 275\ \text{V}$$
