A wire of resistance $R$ and length $L$ is cut into 5 equal parts. If these parts are joined parallelly, then resultant resistance will be:
Answer: (A) $\dfrac{R}{25}$
Each part has resistance $R/5$. Five equal resistors in parallel give
$$R_{eq} = \frac{R/5}{5} = \frac{R}{25}$$
