Q 11-05-001JEE MainEasy
The speed of a $2\ \text{kg}$ body increases from $3\ \text{m/s}$ to $5\ \text{m/s}$. Find the work done by the net force on it, in joules.
Numerical value type. Enter your answer.
Answer: 16
By the work-energy theorem, work done by the net force equals the change in kinetic energy.
$$W = \tfrac12 m(v^2 - u^2) = \tfrac12 (2)(25 - 9) = 16\ \text{J}$$
