Q 11-05-142JEE MainJEE Main 2021 (24 Feb, Shift 2)Easy
Two solids $A$ and $B$ of mass 1 kg and 2 kg respectively are moving with equal linear momentum. The ratio of their kinetic energies $(K.E.)_A : (K.E.)_B$ will be $\dfrac{A}{1}$, so the value of $A$ will be ______.
Numerical value type. Enter your answer.
Answer: 2
$K = \dfrac{p^2}{2m}$; for equal $p$, $\dfrac{K_A}{K_B} = \dfrac{m_B}{m_A} = \dfrac{2}{1}$, so $A = 2$.
