A body of mass $1$ kg moves along a straight line with a velocity $v = 2x^2$. The work done by the body during displacement from $x = 0$ to $5$ m is ______ J.
Answer: (C) $1250$
By the work–energy theorem the work equals the change in kinetic energy.
At $x = 0$: $v = 0$. At $x = 5$ m: $v = 2 \times 25 = 50$ m/s.
$W = \dfrac{1}{2} \times 1 \times 50^2 = 1250$ J.
