The circuit shown below contains two ideal diodes, each with a forward resistance of $50\ \Omega$. If the battery voltage is $6$ V, the current through the $100\ \Omega$ resistance (in amperes) is:
Answer: (B) $0.02$
The cell's positive terminal is on the left, so current goes up the left wire and through the parallel branches from left to right. $D_1$ (pointing right) is forward biased; $D_2$ is reverse biased and carries no current.
$$I = \frac{6}{100 + 50 + 150} = 0.02\ \text{A}$$
