In a common-emitter amplifier the current gain is $50$, the input resistance is $1\ \text{k}\Omega$ and the load resistance is $4\ \text{k}\Omega$. The power gain of the amplifier is
Answer: (B) $10^4$
Voltage gain $A_v = \beta \dfrac{R_L}{R_i} = 50 \times \dfrac{4}{1} = 200$.
Power gain $= \beta \times A_v = 50 \times 200 = 10^4$.
