Q 11-03-101JEE MainJEE Main 2023 (8 Apr, Shift 1)Easy
Two projectiles $A$ and $B$ are thrown with initial velocities of $40\ \text{m s}^{-1}$ and $60\ \text{m s}^{-1}$ at angles $30^\circ$ and $60^\circ$ with the horizontal respectively. The ratio of their ranges respectively is ($g=10\ \text{m s}^{-2}$)
Answer: (A) $4:9$
$R=\dfrac{u^2\sin2\theta}{g}$ and $\sin60^\circ=\sin120^\circ$, so $R_A:R_B=40^2:60^2=4:9$.
