Q 11-04-207JEE MainJEE Main 2025 (7 Apr, Shift 2)Easy
An object of mass $500\ \text{g}$ moves along the $x$-axis with speed $v = 4\sqrt x\ \text{m/s}$. The force acting on the object is:
Answer: (D) $4\ \text{N}$
$v^2 = 16x$, so $a = v\dfrac{dv}{dx} = \dfrac12\dfrac{d(v^2)}{dx} = 8\ \text{m/s}^2$ (constant).
$$F = ma = 0.5\times8 = 4\ \text{N}$$
