Q 12-12-092JEE MainJEE Main 2021 (27 Jul, Shift 1)Easy
In Bohr's atomic model, the electron is assumed to revolve in a circular orbit of radius $0.5$ Å. If the speed of electron is $2.2\times10^6\ \text{m s}^{-1}$, then the current associated with the electron will be ______ $\times10^{-2}$ mA. [Take $\pi$ as $\dfrac{22}{7}$]
Numerical value type. Enter your answer.
Answer: 112
$$I = \frac{ev}{2\pi r} = \frac{1.6\times10^{-19}\times2.2\times10^6}{2\times\frac{22}{7}\times0.5\times10^{-10}} = \frac{3.52\times10^{-13}}{3.143\times10^{-10}} = 1.12\times10^{-3}\ \text{A}$$
$I = 1.12$ mA $= 112\times10^{-2}$ mA.
