For an adiabatic expansion of an ideal gas, the fractional change in its pressure is equal to (where $\gamma$ is the ratio of specific heats):
Answer: (A) $-\gamma\frac{dV}{V}$
$PV^\gamma = $ constant. Taking logs and differentiating: $\dfrac{dP}{P} + \gamma\dfrac{dV}{V} = 0 \Rightarrow \dfrac{dP}{P} = -\gamma\dfrac{dV}{V}$.
