In a common emitter amplifier circuit using an $n$-$p$-$n$ transistor, the phase difference between the input and the output voltages will be:
Answer: (A) $180^\circ$
When the input (base) voltage rises, the collector current rises, the drop across the load resistor increases and the collector voltage falls. The output is therefore inverted: the phase difference is $180^\circ$.
