Which of the following circuits has the same output as that of the given circuit?

Trace the given circuit:
- Upper AND gate: inputs $A$ and $\bar B$, output $A\bar B$.
- Lower AND gate: inputs $A$ and $B$, output $AB$.
- NOR gate: $Y = \overline{A\bar B + AB} = \overline{A(\bar B + B)} = \bar A$.
A NAND gate with both inputs joined is a NOT gate, so circuit (2), with input $A$, gives $Y = \bar A$.
