Q 12-14-025JEE MainMedium
An n-type semiconductor has an electron concentration of $10^{21}\ \text{m}^{-3}$ and electron mobility $0.4\ \text{m}^2\,\text{V}^{-1}\text{s}^{-1}$. Neglecting holes, find its electrical conductivity in S m$^{-1}$. ($e = 1.6 \times 10^{-19}$ C)
Numerical value type. Enter your answer.
Answer: 64
$\sigma = n_e e\mu_e = 10^{21} \times 1.6 \times 10^{-19} \times 0.4 = 64\ \text{S m}^{-1}$.
