As shown in figure, a $70\ \text{kg}$ garden roller is pushed with a force of $F=200\ \text{N}$ at an angle of $30^\circ$ with horizontal. The normal reaction on the roller is (Given $g=10\ \text{m s}^{-2}$)
Answer: (C) $800\ \text{N}$
The push has a downward component $F\sin30^\circ=100\ \text{N}$, which adds to the weight:
$$N=mg+F\sin30^\circ=700+100=800\ \text{N}$$
