In the electrical circuit drawn below, the amount of charge stored in the capacitor in the steady state is ______ $\mu\text{C}$.

Answer: 60
In the steady state no current flows through the capacitor branch. The current flows round the loop of the cell, $R_1$ and $R_3$:
$$I = \frac{10}{4 + 6} = 1\ \text{A}$$
The capacitor branch is in parallel with $R_3$, and no current flows through $R_2$, so the capacitor voltage is $V = IR_3 = 6\ \text{V}$.
$$Q = CV = 10\times6 = 60\ \mu\text{C}$$
