Find the equivalent capacitance, in $\mu$F, of a $3\ \mu$F capacitor in series with a parallel combination of $2\ \mu$F and $4\ \mu$F.

Answer: 2
Parallel: $2 + 4 = 6\ \mu$F. Series with $3\ \mu$F: $\dfrac{3 \times 6}{9} = 2\ \mu$F.
