Given: Earth's radius $=6.4\times10^6\ \text{m}$.
Answer: (D) $64\ \text{km}$
$$d_M=\sqrt{2Rh_T}+\sqrt{2Rh_R}=2\sqrt{2\times6.4\times10^6\times80}=2\sqrt{1.024\times10^9}$$
$$d_M=2\times32\ \text{km}=64\ \text{km}$$
