The speed of sound in a gas at $27°$C is $330$ m/s. At what temperature will it be $660$ m/s?
Answer: (D) $927°$C
$v \propto \sqrt{T}$ (in kelvin). Doubling $v$ needs $4T$: $4 \times 300 = 1200$ K $= 927°$C.
