**Statement I:** Astronomical unit (Au), Parsec (Pc) and Light year (ly) are units for measuring astronomical distances.
**Statement II:** Au < Parsec (Pc) < ly
In the light of the above statements, choose the most appropriate answer from the options given below:
Answer: (B) Statement I is correct but Statement II is incorrect
All three are units of astronomical distance (Statement I correct). $1\ \text{Au}\approx1.5\times10^{11}\ \text{m}$, $1\ \text{ly}\approx9.46\times10^{15}\ \text{m}$, $1\ \text{pc}\approx3.1\times10^{16}\ \text{m}$, so Au < ly < pc and Statement II is incorrect.
