(B) $B$ lives closer to the school
(C) $A$ takes lesser time to reach home
(D) $A$ travels faster than $B$
(E) $B$ travels faster than $A$
Choose the correct answer from the options given below.
Answer: (D) A and E only
- $A$'s line ends at a smaller $x$, so $A$ lives closer to the school (A true, B false).
- $B$'s line is steeper, so $B$ travels faster (E true, D false).
- $B$ starts later and $A$ does not reach home earlier in any way the graph shows, so C is not supported.
So A and E only.
