Four capacitors each of capacitance $16\ \mu\text{F}$ are connected as shown in the figure. The capacitance between points A and B is ______ (in $\mu\text{F}$).

Answer: 64
Label the junctions along the row of capacitors as $P_0, P_1, P_2, P_3, P_4$ from left to right, with one capacitor between each neighbouring pair.
- The top wire joins $P_0$, $P_2$ and $P_4$ to each other and to B.
- The bottom wire joins $P_1$ and $P_3$ to A.
So every capacitor has one plate at A and the other at B: all four are in parallel.
$$C_{AB} = 4\times16 = 64\ \mu\text{F}$$
