Q 12-06-057JEE MainJEE Main 2024 (9 Apr, Shift 2)Easy
A square loop of side $15\ \text{cm}$ is being moved towards the right at a constant speed of $2\ \text{cm/s}$ as shown in the figure. The front edge enters the $50\ \text{cm}$ wide magnetic field at $t = 0$. The value of induced emf in the loop at $t = 10\ \text{s}$ will be:
Answer: (B) zero
At $t = 10\ \text{s}$ the front edge has moved $20\ \text{cm}$ into the field. The loop is fully inside after $7.5\ \text{s}$ and its front edge leaves only at $25\ \text{s}$.
At $t = 10\ \text{s}$ the whole loop is inside the uniform field, so the flux is constant and the induced emf is zero.
