An LCR circuit behaves like a damped harmonic oscillator. Comparing it with a physical spring-mass damped oscillator having damping constant $b$, the correct equivalence would be:
Answer: (D) $L \leftrightarrow m,\ C \leftrightarrow \dfrac1k,\ R \leftrightarrow b$
Compare the equations:
$$m\ddot x + b\dot x + kx = 0 \qquad L\ddot q + R\dot q + \frac1Cq = 0$$
So $L \leftrightarrow m$, $R \leftrightarrow b$ and $\dfrac1C \leftrightarrow k$, i.e. $C \leftrightarrow \dfrac1k$.
