The transmitted light is collected on a screen $100\ \text{cm}$ away. The distance of the first order minimum from the central maximum will be $x\times10^{-5}\ \text{m}$. The value of $x$ is ______.

Answer: 275
$$y = \frac{\lambda D}{a} = \frac{550\times10^{-9}\times1}{0.20\times10^{-3}} = 2.75\times10^{-3}\ \text{m} = 275\times10^{-5}\ \text{m}$$
