Q 11-01-224JEE MainJEE Main 2019 (11 Jan, Shift 2)Medium
If speed $(V)$, acceleration $(A)$ and force $(F)$ are considered as fundamental units, the dimension of Young's modulus will be:
Answer: (D) $V^{-4}A^2F$
Length in terms of $V$ and $A$: $L = \dfrac{V^2}{A}$, so area $= \dfrac{V^4}{A^2}$.
Young's modulus is force per unit area (strain is dimensionless):
$$Y = \frac{F}{V^4A^{-2}} = V^{-4}A^2F$$
