Q 12-11-117JEE MainJEE Main 2021 (27 Jul, Shift 1)Easy
A particle of mass $9.1\times10^{-31}$ kg travels in a medium with a speed of $10^6\ \text{m s}^{-1}$ and a photon of radiation of linear momentum $10^{-27}\ \text{kg m s}^{-1}$ travels in a vacuum. The wavelength of the photon is ______ times the wavelength of the particle.
Numerical value type. Enter your answer.
Answer: 910
$\lambda = \dfrac hp$ for both.
Particle: $p_e = 9.1\times10^{-31}\times10^6 = 9.1\times10^{-25}\ \text{kg m s}^{-1}$.
$$\frac{\lambda_{\text{photon}}}{\lambda_{\text{particle}}} = \frac{p_e}{p_{\text{photon}}} = \frac{9.1\times10^{-25}}{10^{-27}} = 910$$
