Q 12-12-133JEE MainJEE Main 2025 (4 Apr, Shift 2)Easy
Given below are two statements:
**Statement (I):** The dimensions of Planck's constant and angular momentum are the same.
**Statement (II):** In Bohr's model, electrons revolve around the nucleus only in those orbits for which the angular momentum is an integral multiple of Planck's constant.
In the light of the above statements, choose the most appropriate answer from the options given below:
Answer: (C) Statement I is correct but Statement II is incorrect
From $E = h\nu$, $[h] = \dfrac{ML^2T^{-2}}{T^{-1}} = ML^2T^{-1}$, and $[L] = [mvr] = ML^2T^{-1}$. Statement I is correct.
Bohr's condition is $L = \dfrac{nh}{2\pi}$: an integral multiple of $\dfrac{h}{2\pi}$, not of $h$. Statement II is incorrect.
